Prof. Dr. Tanakorn Wongwuttanasatian, Khon Kaen University (KKU), Thailand

Prof. Dr. Tanakorn Wongwuttanasatian has been employed in the Mechanical Engineering Division of Khon Kaen University (KKU), Thailand. In 1994, he earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from KKU and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK, in 2000. He has authored over 120 publications, including those in international journals and conferences, and has made significant contributions to the field of energy engineering research. He has been conducting research in the field of energy, with a particular emphasis on energy conversion and management. Biomass and solar energy, which are the primary energy sources in the vicinity of his workplace, are of particular interest. He has also acted as a conference committee member and as a reviewer for numerous renowned international journals. At present, he is engaged in the implementation of a biomass and waste management project, as well as solar PV cooling to facilitate efficient conversion.

Special session 1 Advanced technology in renewable energy; efficient and effective utilisations

Humans and other life forms on Earth are significantly affected by global warming and climate change. The environment and renewable energy have been the subject of numerous studies conducted by researchers. Green energy is a potential alternative to reduce CO2 emissions that contribute to the greenhouse effect. However, researchers are still exploring the efficient and effective utilization of renewable energy in practice. The challenges of effectively utilizing renewable energies in real-world applications are appealing. This session is accessible to all projects that pertain to the more effective utilization of renewable energy. Despite the fact that these energies are freely accessible, their effective utilization can result in reduced operating costs and render them more competitive in comparison to conventional energy sources.
